Ayodele Griffith, stage name Demii Divinee, is a Brooklyn based, spoken word artist and author. Born in Guyana and raised in a Christian home, she wasn’t always comfortable voicing her feelings or opinions. She started writing at the age of 14 and fell in love with the freedom of expression it gave her. It's always been her safe haven, her way to escape from the thoughts that try to trap her. She starting performing her poetry in 2021 at open mics in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, NY. Demii takes a lot of pride in the vulnerability she allows herself to express in her pieces and always hopes to leave someone feeling touched, encouraged and or inspired after hearing her speak. 'Just Breathe Abidemi' is her first published work full of raw, honest emotions. Her diary in it's purest & truest form. The first of many.

Demii has featured for Poetry Me Please, The Rose Garden Events, The Harlem Bomb Shelter & has opened up for The Artist Anubis’s, Off Off Broadway One Man Show, as well as closed out Stephanie Nieves's Off Broadway, ‘The Fear Free Showcase’.
